Comfortably furnished with very friendly service
Visited for the carvery for the first time on Sunday. Really it is like two places in one. You have a nice restaurant part, with a bit of a dingy bar with the regulars there. Food was nice, good choice of meats and nice roast potatoes and fresh greens. But please please, when Customers are up getting their food do not let your staff just stand there watching us load our plates it makes us feel uncomfortable and not put what we want on as we feel greedy or we are doing something wrong.

Went there for a Sunday carvery, great choice of meats and all the veg was cooked perfectly - not boiled to mush like so many! The staff were very friendly and helpful but beware they do their lunches in sittings at certain times so better to book.
Came here after a very hard day and enjoyed a perfect pint of doom bar....then enjoyed another!!! Nice inside, clean and spacious bar area.
