Good bar staff friendly place nice people in the pub
Spent a weekend here with my partner, visiting friends. We were given Room 2 which was great size with a decent bathroom but the only problem would be that the shower was on the weak side. The breakfast was great with loads of choice and very accomidating as my partner is a celiac. The staff were all friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had food in the restaurant one night the food was great.
Room 1 long and narrow. 18 inch gap to squeeze into bathroom. During 5 day stay our beds were not touched and bathroom not cleaned. Evening staff delightful and friendly. Breakfast staff serving totally incompetent. Forgot our coffee and didn't bring jam when requested. Food plentiful,wellcooked and tasty
So many of our country pubs serve great food these days but The Ship ranks among the best of them. The staff also make your experience so worth while while the venue itself has all the atmosphere to make you smile. I heartily recommend this local hostelry to all.
